What we do

Our initial obligation free consultation with our clients is imperative and provides the perfect induction to our business.

This initial consult is obligation free so as to provide a meet and great opportunity. We discuss the project, answer any questions and ultimately source enough information for a ‘design brief’ to be formulated. This provides the necessary scope of work, establishes the design approach needed to be undertaken and allows for a fee proposal to be prepared.

On our successful engagement we undertake a site visit (if applicable) and begin the design process. This includes the interpretation of the client’s brief, assessing any applicable requirements under the Planning Code and importantly applying our expertise and design sense to begin creating your vision.

The initial design will transition into the preparation of formal drawings for lodgement to the appropriate municipal Council for their comment and ultimate approval.

We will endeavour to continually flag areas of concern, and if third party consultants need to be engaged we have an experienced pool to select from. It doesn’t just stop with design, our transparency and level of communication provides the confidence to each of our clients that they are kept informed throughout the entire process and that a positive outcome can be achieved.

The process is sometimes not what it seems however our job is to remove this stress and make it as seamless as possible.

On receipt of Council approvals we will seek out and engage the consultants necessary for us to prepare ‘construction drawings’ to a level compliant to the ‘National Construction Code (NCC)’. We will then as a result co-ordinate and submit the necessary drawings and information so as to allow building rules consent to be granted by a preferred building certifier.

On successfully obtaining building rules consent, Council will issue a Final Development Approval. This Final Development Approval along with a stamped set of documents and drawings is what is required prior to any actual Building work commencing.

Our role is to interpret your vision, undertake the necessary design and then provide the expertise to prepare drawings and documents to a level to allow it to be created.

Even after all approvals have been obtained our Involvement with the project does not necessarily need to end. As much as we aren’t builders we can further afford our experience and expertise to tender out and find a suitable builder for your project and importantly help you see it through to completion.
